A24 MembershipIdentity, UX, UI, Motion2025

A24 wanted to bring awareness to its membership with a refreshed landing page and a new member credit system.

I led the design for a reimagined landing page for A24’s membership program. In parallel, I helped shape and integrate a new monthly credits system for existing members across their digital ecosystem.

A new place to see the benefits of membership

My goal was to create a scrollable experience that showcases the perks of membership in a single, immersive view. Drawing inspiration from View-Master toys, I designed the page to function like a virtual filmstrip, where each scroll of the page rotates the user through different membership benefits as if they're looking through a camera's viewfinder. It helped to not only highlight each benefit in a visually captivating way but also stays true to the A24 identity.

I needed to build the identity and UX for a new member credit benefit.

A24 added a new perk: $5 in monthly credits that members could spend in the A24 Shop, film rentals in the app, and tickets to A24 films in theaters. These credits functioned like a growing balance that could be used over time. My role was to ensure the system was technically integrated across platforms and that both new and existing members were aware of the feature.
Coming out of the exploration phase and precedent research, I focused on two conceptual directions for the credit system’s visual identity. The first leaned into the idea of an “allowance,” while the second framed it as a “piggy bank.” Both concepts communicated the notion of credits as a growing reserve, rather than simple cash-back or discounts. I began by exploring these ideas through minimal iconography to ensure they could translate into a clean, scalable system that complemented the brand’s understated aesthetic. The coin, and use of the term “credits” offered the most flexibility in various UI contexts and strongly signified the concept of value. With this direction, we were able to enhance other membership elements of the interface, like the membership card, by apply small details to enhance the idea of membership as a form of credit.  Our goal was to make the credit feature feel like a natural part of the interface and payment process, so users could see their credits increase, easily apply their credit alongside their regular payment method.

In the A24 app, we introduced a simple slide-to-use feature, allowing members to easily apply their credits at checkout. This design choice made the credits both visible and intuitive, ensuring users were aware of their benefits without adding friction to the process. In the A24 Shop, the credits appear as a straightforward toggle within the payment section of the Shopify checkout.
